Open Mic Night 1/24/08
Black - I was fairly intoxicated for this one, but most of the notes came out right. If you listen closely, the crowd is doing the back up vocals near the end!
Open Mic Night 3/22/08
These songs are performed by “THe Improvs”, a band made up of Kish, Russell, Shawntel, and myself. As the name of the band suggests, we’re mostly making it up as we go.
Improv #1 - This one goes on a little long, but there are some good bits in there.
Improv #2 - Also long, but halfway through it changes completely into a wicked cool dualing guitar jam. Definitely my favorite of the lot.
Improv #3 - On this one Russell ditches his notebook of poetry and invents the lyrics as well as the melody on the spot. I love Shawntel's violin plucking! About half way through I figure out the key, and Kish immediately loses me by changing the chord progression.
